Designed by Alexander Marshall Mackenzie (1848-1933) and James Matthews (1819-1898). The sunken Victorian gardens opened to the public in 1879. Engulfed within the heart of Aberdeen, this park is surrounded on all sides by the city's gothic architecture.

Opened in 1906, this is the largest theatre in the Grampian region. Constructed of Kemnay and Tillyfourie granite, the building is renowned for its Neo-Renaissance exterior and well-preserved mixed Baroque/Jacobean interior.
